bullet  Research Notes:

Moses Scrivner and Nancy Henley are thought to be Rebecca's parents for the following reasons: (1) there is an otherwise unidentified female child in the 10-16 age range in their household in the 1820 census for Smith County, Tennessee; (2) this is the only Scrivner family from Smith County, Tennessee whose members moved to Illinois, which is where Hiram and Rebecca's first children were born; (3) a younger daughter, Margaret Scrivner, married Martin Strong, also of Smith County, Tennessee, and they all moved to Cole County, Missouri and led parallel lives ; (4) one of Hiram and Rebecca's sons was named Moses; and (5) Rebecca named at least one of her sons after a brother, namely, James Riley Strong after her brother, James Riley Scrivner (Eli Strong appears to have been named after another probable brother).

bullet  Burial Notes:

If Rebecca died while she was living with Greenbury and Minerva Howard, her son-in-law and daughter, she may be buried in Green Grove Cemetery, Moniteau County, Missouri. However, she is not listed in the cemetery records.

Rebecca Strong purchased the NW1/4 of the SW1/4 of Sec. 3, Twp. 43-N, Range 13-W, containing 38.32 acres.38.32 acres.

[Query whether this separate purchase wasn't a means of maximizing the amount of land a family could acquire by land patent.]
