1st Mrs. John Strong
(-1820/1830) |
1st Mrs. John StrongResearch Notes: There is circumstantial evidence that the first wife of John Strong may have been named Elizabeth, to wit: (i) there is an otherwise unidentified Betsy Strong, who joined the Salem Baptist Church in Liberty, now DeKalb County, in 1819; (ii) eldest daughter Martha named her first daughter Elizabeth, as did tentatively identified son Edmund; and (iii) the last child that can be identified as the daughter of John's first wife was named Elizabeth, perhaps because her mother died giving birth to her. 1st married John STRONG, son of James STRONG and Mary. (John STRONG was born in 1770-1775 in North Carolina 1 2 3 4 5 and died before 4 Dec 1848 in Lincoln County, Tennessee 6.) |
