Daniel BOWERS
(Abt 1830-1856) |
Daniel BOWERS 1Research Notes: It seems reasonable to think Daniel might be the son of John and Chloe. Note per the 1840 census, John and Chloe appear to have a son age 10-14 (no children appear in the 1850 census following Chloe's remarriage). Daniel can't be connected to any of the other Bowers. Also, note the unusual activity in the year Daniel died. Chloe Bowers recorded a deed dating back to 1847. Also, David Bowers gave Thomas Bowers a power of appointment to be able to represent him in the Estate of John Bowers, Dec'd, even though John died before the date of the 1847 deed. Is it possible that Daniel's death triggered some inheritance issues? Perhaps, there being no heir, it was thought that the land Chloe lived on should pass to John's brothers. Noted events in his life were: 1. Estate Administration: 1856, Grainger County, Tennessee. 1 2. Estate Administration: 1859, Grainger County, Tennessee. 3 |
