24 January 2002: Revised discussion of parentage of Eliza Lair. Mary Lair, who appears in the 1860
household of John Wesley and Eliza Branscomb, has been identified as a daughter of William Lair, providing further proof that
William was also Eliza's father.
14 Aug 2002: After further study, Mary Lair was added as a daughter of Rev. James and Sarah (Hamilton)
Lear. She was the wife of Austin Franklin.
4 Sep 2004: Some progress has been made on the family of John Williams and Nancy Hamilton. Of particular interest
is the fact John Williams wrote a book of hymns in 1820, which included memorial hymns to two deceased children and to Charles
Hamilton, his father-in-law. These have been transcribed.
