The dates favored by the majority have been used.

1 Donnan K. Hunter (as to William B. Sharples biography), Morgan County History Book, Page 353. Donnan was a son of Eliza Jane Sharples, so this would appear to be the earliest of the records for the family of William Bond Sharples and Nancy Margaret Strong.

2 Family Records of Ruth Winchell. Ruth Winchell was a granddaughter of Susan Ann Sharples. She gathered her information for the most part directly from family members. Her records are more recent than the biography by Donnan K. Hunter. Copies of her records were obtained from Marjorie Gracy.

3 Family Records of Marjorie Gracy. Marjorie's husband, James, is a grandson of Sarah Elizabeth Sharples. Although Marjorie attributes much of her information to Ruth Winchell, she has also done her own research, including cemetery viewings. Marjorie is the only one still living of the three record keepers for the family of William Bond Sharples and Nancy Margaret Strong.
