Nancy first married Thomas O. Jordan on 26 Oct 1842. He was born 10 May 1820 and died 24 Oct 1849. She had three children by this first marriage: Josephine Iowa Jordan, born 18 Oct 1843, died 2 Jul 1844; Ernest Maltrane Jordan, born 18 Jan 1846, died 10 Dec 1848; and William Thomas Jordan, born 4 Jul 1848. 2
Nancy married William STRONG, son of Samuel STRONG and Mary ADAMS, on 15 Jul 1852.2 (William STRONG was born on 10 Oct 1814 in Henry County, Virginia,2 4 died on 23 Nov 1899 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee 2 4 and was buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee 4.)

William Strong Family Bible. This bible is in the possession of Dale Craymer of Austin, Texas (dcraymer@austin.rr.com). It passed from William's daughter, Ida Strong Doss, with whom he lived after his retirement, to her daughter, Lillian Doss Craymer, who in turn passed it to her grandson, Dale. Dale was kind enough to provide me with the bible's vital dates, as well as photographs of William.
