The entry for 80 year old Hannah followed by an "M" (bracketed by dots), is troublesome. There was a daughter, Hannah Margaret Fleener, who was born in 1840 and who would be expected to be still residing with her parents in 1860 since she did not marry until 1862. I expect the enumerator mistakenly recorded age 80 instead of age 20. Might there have been another member of the household who was age 80 but who was not enumerated? A possibility might be Sarah Hamilton Lear, the mother of Hannah Lair Fleener. But, this is pure speculation.

I cannot identify the youngest Nancy.

bullet  Marriage Notes:

Per Bork:
Fleenex, Jacob and Hannah H. Lair. Surety, Elisha Franklin. Married 30 Oct 1823 by Obediah Strange.

Per Hanson:
Bond: Jacob Fleenor and Elisha Franklin were both sureties. The bond was dated 28 Oct 1823.
Return: "This certifieth the Lawful marriage of Jacob Fleener and Hannah H. Lair this 30th day of october 1823 by me Obadiah Strange."
Note: Copies of the Bond and Return were obtained from Margery via Debra Wiley. I think Hannah's name in both documents can be read as Lear, although in the Return it looks like Leair. 1 2 3 4
