Esther FULLER
(1706-1735) |
Esther FULLER 4 5Esther married John STANSFORD on 1 Jan 1726/27.1 4 5 Marriage Notes: St. John's Parish Register recorded the date of their marriage as 1 Jan 1726, which, because it predates the 1752 calendar changes and falls between 1 Jan and 24 Mar, has per geneaology conventions been double dated as 1 Jan 1726/27, in order to show that the event occurred on 1 Jan 1726 under the Old Style dating system (the end of 1726 being 24 Mar 1726), but would have occurred on 1 Jan 1727 under the New Style dating system (the beginning of 1727 being 1 Jan instead of 25 Mar). It is believed the family records which show the month as Jun are probably a typographical error. Also, note that the Parish Register spells the groom's surname as "Standeford." |

Kay's book provides rich detail, including sources, about this Fuller family, both in Maryland and in North Carolina. For anyone interested in learning more about this Fuller family, this is a must-have book. Note that Kay credits Rich and Pat Fuller of Baltimore for providing many of the sources for the information about the Fullers while in Baltimore County, Maryland. The primary sources in that regard are Baltimore County Families, 1659-1759 by Robert W. Barnes and St. John's and St. George's Parish Registers, 1696-1851 by Henry C. Peden, Jr.
