Crafford Lefate STRONG 1
- Born: 11 Dec 1852, Lincoln County, Tennessee 2
- Died: 19 Sep 1858, Lincoln County, Tennessee 2
Research Notes:
Although his given first name was rendered "Crafford" in the Carter Bible, I suspect it was Crawford and that he was named after his mother's father.

At pages 46-48 is a synopsis of the Carter Bible based on a viewing by at least one of the authors. The Bible, published in 1853, was originally owned and maintained by Sarah Elizabeth Carter Strong, wife of Samuel Clinton Strong. The Bible was passed down to Sarah Ann Strong White, then to Katie White McDonald, then to Kathryn McDonald Gardner of Bethel Park, PA, who was reported to be the Bible's owner at the time of the book's publication. The date of publication appears to be uncertain, per the question mark in the FHLC. This source and the information contained therein was provided by James L.
