Rebecca LEAR
(1805/1810-) |
Rebecca LEAR 1
Research Notes: Although there are two presumed daughters who were born 1805-1810 per census records, it is only reasonable speculation that Rebecca was one of them. The evidence in support of this speculation is that a child born 1805-1810 is consistent with an 1833 marriage date and she was married by Rev. James Lear. But, not every Lear married by Rev. James was a child of his. For example, Moses Lear who married Nancy Dabney on 14 Jan 1834 was the son of Jesse Lear of Garrard Co., KY. Also, Rebecca was not mentioned in Rev. James' Will. On the other hand, we know Hannah also was not mentioned and it was not uncommon for Wills to fail to mention married daughters. On balance, I've decided to list her as a daughter in the hopes some Nevill researcher will stumble onto my research and provide confirming or non-confirming evidence. Noted events in her life were: 1. Census: 1810, Wayne County, Kentucky. 3 2. Census: 1820, Wayne County, Kentucky. 2 Rebecca married Thomas NEVILL on 15 Nov 1833 in Wayne County, Kentucky.1 Marriage Notes: Per Bork: |
