Per a survey in December, 1970, a Samuel A. Lair is buried in grave no. 54 at Golden Cemetery. "The Golden Cemetey is within the city limits of Golden. From the downtown intersection , it is one-fifth of a mile west on FM779. It is well kept and the oldest date found was 1885."
