John Farmer to Phebe Leffew; license issued 19 May 1832; bondsman, Hugh Farmer; date of marriage per return, 20 May 1832; married by John Latham, J. P. 2. This is presumed to be John Farmer, Jr., who first appears in the Grainger Co. tax lists in 1832. He was on the tax rolls each year through 1837. The years immediately following 1837 are not available, at least on FHL film. He is presumed to have died before Phebe's marriage to Thomas Majors on 27 Aug 1838. 6 7
