Hannah DARNALL 2 3
General Notes: Hannah's parents were David and Mary Darnall, as evidenced by (i) being named in the will of her brother, William Darnall, and (ii) her daughter Molly being named as a granddaughter in the will of David Darnall. 3 4 Death Notes: It is not known when Hannah died. She was possibly dead by 1785, for her father's will does not mention her, but does leave a bequest to her daughter, Molly. Then again, her omission from her father's will may only mean she was adequately provided for, either by Jame's will or by her second husband, and he simply wanted to remember Molly as a favored grandchild. Also, in 1777, Hannah's one-third share of the residue of her husband James' estate was distributed to her second husband, which again may indicate she had died by then. Then again, the distribution may have been made to her second husband on her behalf. Hannah married James LEAR, son of John LEAR and Sarah. (James LEAR died before 15 Jul 1771 in Culpeper County, Virginia 2.) Hannah next married Shadrack CHEVRIE before 7 Jun 1777 in Culpeper County, Virginia.1 |
