Although Edward Crim's website gives Susannah's date of birth as 16 Sep 1768, it appears his sources are pension records, which are included on his website, and they give her date of birth as 15 Sep 1768, as do the records provided by Gary Bettcher.

Bowers Family Records of Gary Bettcher, citing Revolutionary War pension records. Although he is not a Bowers descendant, Gary began researching the Bowers family of Berkeley County, Virginia/West Virginia as a result of his purchase and restoration of the Home Farm of Henry Bowers. Jr., built in 1805. He has been as meticulous in his research as in the restoration of the Home Farm and has provided me with many records that are only available locally. The Bowers family is very fortunate that it was Gary who bought the Home Farm.
