Marriage: John BRANSCOMB   Research Notes: I have suspended documenting my Branscomb lineage pending the release of Fred Tubb's update of his Branscomb book. All that is included at this time is an outline of my direct line ancestors. 1 Olive married John BRANSCOMB, son of Richard BRANSCOMB and Sarah PROCTOR. (John BRANSCOMB was born in 1760 in Brunswick County, Virginia and died in 1821 in Wayne County, Kentucky.)

I was fortunate enough to encounter Fred Tubbs just as I began my family research. I consider him to be my genealogy mentor, for he impressed upon me the importance of maintaining the highest of standards in compiling one's family history. Because of the respect and admiration I have for Fred's Branscomb research, I have in this instance made an exception to my practice of personally researching each of my direct line ancestors. I am also thankful to Fred for devoting umpteen hours working with me on my Branscomb branch.
