Feb Court, 1804 at page 67: John Hambleton relinquishes his claim to Cert. No. 345 [actually, No. 354].

William Hamilton to John Hamilton, "one bay mare & sorrel horse & saddle, one cow & calf & 11 head of hogs & crib of corn & one rifle gun & my cloes and all I possess for value received." Wit: James Lear, Joseph Henry.

1813, Capt. Cooper's Company: Hambleton, John; 85 acres, Beaver Creek; 1 white male 21+; 2 horses/mares. [This land was taxed to Joseph Henry in 1811. Both the 1811 and 1813 entries show that the land was orginally surveyed by and patented to Joseph Henry. Although no deed has been found, it seems evident Joseph sold his land to John when he left Wayne Co.]

[No further tax list entries appear for John Hamilton. This fact plus his land sales in March 1826 provide evidence of when he moved to Morgan Co., IN.]

John married Ellender COLLETT on 5 Oct 1809 in Wayne County, Kentucky.¹ (Ellender COLLETT was born on 1 Jan 1793 in North Carolina,⁸ died on 8 Sep 1830 in Morgantown, Morgan County, Indiana ^{7 8} and was buried in East Hill Cemetery, Morgan County, Indiana ⁸.)
