bullet  Research Notes:

It is probably a stretch to identify Mary as a daughter of Joseph Leffew. Only her year of birth qualifies her for a slot in Joseph's 1800 household. She has been attributed to Joseph so that others will be aware of the possibility.

Mary was discovered by Danette Welch, my Leffew research colleague. It is not known if she had children. Edmund appears in the 1850 census for Knox County, Tennessee in Division 15 at Family 2127. His oldest listed child was born about 1831.
