A sale by Sheriff John Matlock to satisfy a judgment obtained by Lewis Thomas against Levi Lephew in the amount of 3 pounds, 9 shillings and 11 pence. Levis's 40 acres on waters of Whetstone and Dies Creeks and the Dan River, adjoining other land owned by Nelson Fields, were sold at public sale to Nelson Fields for 4 pounds. Witnessed by Alex Sneed and B C Lacy.
