Elizabeth is thought to have died during childbirth, though when is a question. The records of Lynda Lovejoy have her date of death as 17 Sep 1848, which seems to have been chosen since it corresponds to the date of birth of Rebecca Elizabeth Allcorn, her last known child. Bork, on the other hand, has added a comment to the marriage record in her book that Elizabeth died in 1855. This latter date is also used by Pat Franks. I have used the 1855 date because it seems more consistent with William Russell Allcorn's second marriage to Polly J. S. Twiford on 7 Aug 1856. It is also my preference to defer to the records of a direct descendant and in this case that is Pat. 2 3 4
