Obituary from The Sedalia Democrat, 6 Nov 1930:

"A. N. Bowlin
A. N. Bowlin, aged resident of Ionia died suddenly Tuesday afternoon. He was apparently as well as usual only that he complained of a slight feeling of indigestion. As he was sitting in a chair near a table he fell over onto the table. His wife, and neighbors who were called in, thinking he had suffered a paralytic stroke called Doctor Bay of Cole Camp who pronounced him dead due to heart trouble.
Mr. Bowlin was born in Moniteau county in 1847 and had he lived until December the fourth would have been eighty-three years old. He was married about sixty years ago to Miss Sarah Strong. Surviving him are his wife, two sons, Charley of Olympia, Washington; Jim of Ionia, and two daughters, Mrs. Mollie Nell and Mrs. Minnie Ragar both of Ionia and the following grandchildren, Alan and Ida Bowlin of Olympia, Washington; Mrs. Glen Kelb of Springfield; Virgil and Leonard Ragar, Clarence and Miles Nell, Mrs. Hazel Ransdell and Mrs. Vesti Renfrow all of this community and four great grandchildren, Mary Etta Kelb, Roy Allen Nell, Shirley Ragar and Wanetta Ruth Renfrow.
Mr. Bowlin was a member of the Methodist protestant church in Ionia having transferred his membership from Prairie Capel about twelve year ago when he moved into Ionia."
